Snorbo.co participates in affiliate programs. This means that when you click certain links on our site and make a qualifying purchase, we earn a small commission. This costs you nothing extra. It is, in essence, how we pay our staff — a small group of writers whose origins and compensation arrangements are, by mutual agreement, not always fully documented.

Programs we participate in

As of the date below, Snorbo.co is a participant in:

  • Amazon Services LLC Associates Program

Snorbo.co is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. (This sentence is required by Amazon. We have left it as written.)

We may add additional programs over time. When we do, we will list them here.

How we make recommendations

Editorial decisions on Snorbo.co are made independently of our affiliate relationships. We recommend products because we think they are worth recommending. Our writers — who, as we have noted, are varied — are instructed to write honestly, and they mostly do.

When a writer's voice or framing is unusually persuasive (this comes up most often in our coverage of indulgences), we add an editorial note that puts the recommendation in context. We take the FTC's guidance on transparent affiliate marketing seriously, even when the rest of our operation is somewhat less serious.

The product cards

Every product we recommend appears in a structured card with the brand, name, price, retailer, and a clear "affiliate link" notice. We do this deliberately: the actual buying information is always presented in a plain editorial format, regardless of how in-voice the surrounding prose may be. The facts and the voice live in separate places.

Questions

If you have questions about our affiliate practices — or you spot a recommendation that doesn't pass your sniff test — write to us at hello@snorbo.co. We respond as we are able.
